94pointsLaura Zahtila 2007 Barlow Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon (Calistoga)

Cellar Selection

Very dark, rich and dramatic. Massively constructed, with vast reserves of blackberry jam, blackstrap molasses, mocha, smoked meat, mushu plum sauce and sweet, smoky oak. The tannins are big, ripe and astringent. A great Cabernet that clearly needs plenty of time. Drink 2015 and beyond.
