Laurentia 2016 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (Grand River Valley)

The nose delivers cocoa powder, root beer, lingonberry, currant and a touch of creosote. Juicy, tart raspberry, cranberry and red plum flavors are matched by charred oak and toasted tobacco. The tannins are powdery, providing plenty of structure, yet are balanced by ample acidity. It is a touch spicy on the finish, which lingers on tones of raspberry and bitter chocolate. Fiona Adams
