This is another boozy bruiser from this ambitious winery. A blend of 38% Syrah, 34% Mourvèdre and 28% Grenache, it delivers ripe red raspberry, black peppercorns and cinnamon on the nose. It's soft on the palate at first, then gives into a strong tannic grip, with flavors of red cherries, tobacco, licorice, cloves and iron. It drinks a tad hot.
