Lawson's Dry Hills 2001 Chardonnay (Marlborough)

Subtle toast and peach notes are wrapped around a core of apple and pear fruit. There's a certain tension created by the interplay of weighty fruit and crisp acidity. Lingers delicately on the finish, blending hints of butter, yellow plum and pineapple. Joe Czerwinski
