The tiny, 17-acre vineyard of Le Clos d'un Jour produces three wines; this is the middle in quality terms. It was aged in earthenware jars, reproducing ancient techniques. The wine, despite its dark color, is light, refreshing, a model of delicious black fruits and vivid acidity. The tannins are tight and spicy with a bitter-chocolate edge. Roger Voss
