Le Prince des Pierres 2019 Pinot Noir (Bourgogne)

Fresh tobacco and toasted hazelnuts introduce this raspberry and strawberry-inflected red. Sourced from vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay, the penetrating, fruit-focused wine is balanced by elegant accents of earth, smoke and piquant sweet spices. Full bodied but fresh and cutting, the wine is ready now and likely to maintain peak through 2025 at least. Anna Lee C. Iijima
