Here is a wine with a stellar bouquet, redolent with chocolate-covered cherries, cassis, a bit of “gout de terroir” and other barnyardy stuff best left to the imagination. Complex, lush and ripe, it overwhelms the palate with silky sensations, all wrapped up in smooth chocolate. There's a mouth-cleansing dryness to the tannins that invites another sip, and another.
