Apogee is L'Ecole's proprietary Bordeaux blend. This Merlot-dominated (60%) wine also includes about one-third Cabernet Sauvignon and a dash of Cabernet Franc; it shows complex aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon and coffee, with plump, ripe red fruit. It's nicely balanced, big and tart, and it gently cascades into a long, spicy finish.
