Dry and sharp in acidity, this rustic wine needs rich meats and cheeses to clip its claws. Made from traditional Port varieties, it's quite rich in cherry, red currant and spice flavors. An interesting wine, and one that you wish were made with greater attention to detail. The appellation is within Lodi.
