Who says Northern and Southern California don't get along? This wine is made at an oceanside winery in Ventura from prime Napa fruit. Leeward's Chucks-Brigham and Gardner-make small batches of heady varietals, all with piercing, deep flavors. This Merlot is heavy on the black fruit and is built on a rack of perfect tannins. It's ready to drink now, but will soften over time.
