Left Bend 2011 Black Ridge Vineyard Syrah (Santa Cruz Mountains)

Winemaker Gary Robinson named this brand after the San Andreas Fault, which caused the appellation that birthed this aromatic display of blueberry, lilac and hummingbird sage. Dense purple fruit flavors consume the hedonistic palate, which is bolstered by bacon fat, licorice and a strong and lively acidity. Matt Kettmann
