Left Coast 2012 Blanc de Noir Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This nicely captures the toasty, lip-smacking power of vintage Champagne, hitting the palate immediately with an impression of both power and finesse. Youthful still, it offers tart fla-vors of lemon rind, pineapple and grapefruit. Though all stainless-steel fermentation and aging is indicated, that pleasing toasty note continues on through the finish. Paul Gregutt
