Lenz 2017 Estate Selection Cabernet Franc (North Fork of Long Island)

Dense aromas of black cherry and blackberry meld with lavender, resinous herbs and cocoa on the nose. The medium-bodied palate echos the nose, showing well-concentrated juicy berry tones framed by polished tannins and pulsing acidity. It ends lifted and racy, but with a mix of fruity, floral and bitter cocoa nuances extending on the finish. Alexander Peartree
