Leonetti Cellar 2018 Reserve Red (Walla Walla Valley (WA))

Cellar Selection

Cabernet Sauvignon makes up three-quarters of the wine, with the rest equal parts Malbec and Petit Verdot. With fruit coming from Holy Roller, Mill Creek Upland and Loess, this wine is, as always, about the future. The aromas are expressive, with notes of cassis, scorched earth, date, anise and spice. It's a big, rich mouthful of a wine, showing density and layering, but also remarkable fleetness of foot. It's full of class. Best after 2032 with a very long life after that. Sean P. Sullivan
