Leopold Gourmel L'Age de Fleurs Fins Bois Cognac

This bouquet doesn't open up until substantial aeration time has elapsed when lively scents of pears, apples, paraffin and nutmeg emerge from the thin upfront nose. Palate entry is toasty, maple-like and pleasingly sweet; midpalate offers sweet and toasted tastes of nougat, baked apple, fruit pastry and honey. Finish is lusciously fruity and dry. P.P.
