Les Vins de Vienne 2010 Marsanne (Crozes-Hermitage)

This is not a particularly flavorful or aromatic wine, but it succeeds nonetheless because of its creamy texture and admirable weight on the palate. It does deliver nuanced and restrained notes of melon, citrus, fennel and crushed stone, all of which mingle easily on the long, mouthwatering finish. Best now and over the next few years. Joe Czerwinski
