Lesehof Stagård 2016 Steiner Hund Riesling (Kremstal)

The yeasty smell of lees is still present on the nose of this wine, and its lemony fruit struggles to come through. On the palate, however, bright, brisk and pure lemon is in full force. Fruitiness and bitter pith are interwoven, creating a textured mouthfeel of fresh and tart flavors. This still needs to knit together but promises to be a long-lived, concentrated Riesling. Drink now until 2030 or longer. Anne Krebiehl MW
