Levantine Hill 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (Yarra Valley)

This rich Cabernet is aging rapidly and already feels on the way out. Rust red in color, the berry fruit feels a little raisiny. Notes of dried florals, mint and baking spice are backed in toasty, vanillin oak. The palate is on the thin side and the finish is short. Nevertheless, there's a nice textural component to the powerful tannins. Christina Pickard
