From very close to the Pacific coast comes this full, funky Pinot that begins with aromas of burnt compost and leaves and then segues to caramel. It's better in the mouth, where bramble, plum and cumin flavors are exotic and don't pound you over the head. Not for everyone; it's a touch earthy and mulchy. Michael Schachner
