Lightwell Survey 2015 Los Idiots Red (Virginia)

The name Los Idiots references the potential blunder of the winemaker's decision to make a low-intervention, carbonic-maceration, Syrah-and-Riesling blend in Virginia. A complex nose of rose, black cherry, bubblegum and iron lead the way to the palate, which boasts a vein of cinnamon spice. Delicate in mouthfeel, this is well balanced and full of interest.
