The barrels seem expensive: the copious flamboyant smoky, toasty oak is soft, forward and tasty. But the fruit doesn't quite measure up, leaving a bit of a hollow in the midpalate. A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Merlot.
