There's a compellingly reductive line throughout this wine that recalls crushed rocks, flint and chalk from the nose to the palate. Singed grapefruit peel also shows on the nose and the palate is very grippy, the texture showing more prominently than the tight pome and citrus flavors. Matt Kettmann
