Lismore 2020 Cape Winemakers Guild Here Comes The Sun Chenin Blanc-Viognier (Cape South Coast)

Winemaker: Samantha O'Keefe. Ripe and enticing scents of peach, ginger-spiced jasmine tea, lightly grilled pineapple and yellow melon form the nose of this blend of 64% Chenin Blanc and 36% Viognier. It's medium in weight, with a slight slick to the midpalate that lends a rich impression to the ripe fruit tones. Ample acidity and a light pithy texture lend structure and balance to the sip, which ends with glimmers of toasted apple and peach-pit nuttiness. Drink now–2028. Lauren Buzzeo
