Living Roots 2017 Traditional Method Sparkling Riesling (Finger Lakes)

Initially closed on the nose, only displaying delicate citrus and apple tones, eventually this opens up to reveal broader aromas of apricot and melon. It's rounded and rather rich in feel on the palate, with foamy bubbles that carry along flavors of creamy yellow apple and canned peach. The base wine was partially fermented in barrel, which contributes to the broad feel. It ends dry and brisk. Alexander Peartree
