Living Roots 2018 Lilly Pilly Pinot Noir (Adelaide Hills)

This is bright and bouncy wine made by an American/Aussie couple based in upstate New York (they also happen to make wine from the Finger Lakes under the same label). A sun-kissed, sandy minerality weaves through vibrant berry, floral, cinnamon and vanilla oak notes on the nose. It's creamy in texture with oodles of fruit buoyed by bright acidity and a cocktail bitters finish. A straightforward, likable drop for drinking slightly chilled. Christina Pickard
