Living Roots NV Golden Wattle Muscat (South Eastern Australia)

This is a heady example of a historic Aussie wine style. It's caramel in color, with a pale rim. The nose has a perfume that's easy to get lost in, like tiramisu, caramel, nuts and wood spice. The palate is intensely sweet and rich and there's a bit of heat from the alcohol, but there's still plenty to swoon over. A luscious, chocolatey dessert wine, this needs nothing more than a cozy chair and a winter warming fire. Christina Pickard
