Loimer 2012 Steinmassl Reserve Riesling (Kamptal)

This is definitely on the plumper, richer side of Riesling. Almost overwhelming peach fruit beckons on the nose. The palate is rounded but dry and tempered by freshness. It is rich and has intimations of dried sultana but remains dry and versatile. With all its spicy allure and long-lasting finish, the impression is almost exotic. Anne Krebiehl MW
