I like Mike Scott's Sauv Blancs for their pungent, grassy aromas, and their piercingly tart acids. The spiky fruit flavors combine pear and pineapple, gooseberry and lime—think New Zealand without the asparagus. This is really a lovely bottle, ripe and round, lush and perfectly balanced between tart and fruity. Paul Gregutt
