94pointsLone Madrone 2015 Grenache (Paso Robles Willow Creek District)

Oak-smoked red cherries, cola spice, coffee, dark red and purple flowers and sagebrush swirl into a heady nose for this bottling from the dry-farmed Will's Hills Vineyard. It lands on the palate with rustic wild cherry character, then comes waves of hibiscus and a grippy texture that's firm but not in the way. Matt Kettmann
