A field blend of sorts with 44% Tannat, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Petit Verdot and 4% Zinfandel, this bottling hits the nose with roasted plum, peppercorn, herb and raw game aromas. The palate shows a thicker mouthfeel, combining those gamy aspects with tart black plum, rose water and purple-flower flavors. Matt Kettmann
