Long Shadows 2017 Pirouette Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

Cellar Selection

Cabernet Sauvignon comprises 58% of this wine, with the rest Merlot (20%), Malbec (13%) and Petit Verdot (9%). The aromas are bursting with notes of coffee, bittersweet chocolate, dried herbs and black cherry. The palate is rich, luscious and focused, chock-full of cherry and herb flavors with barrel accents. But it's the texture on this wine and its vibrancy that really capture the attention. Like many wines from this vintage, it's tightly wound still. Time will serve it well. Best after 2025. Sean P. Sullivan
