This isn't a big Pinot Noir. It's not dark or heavy or soft. This cool part of the Russian River doesn't yield such wines. It's light in tannins and silky in the mouth, the essence of Pinot Noir. Official alcohol is 14.4%, which seems about right. For all that, it's very rich in cherry pie filling, cola, sweet tobacco, spice and sandalwood flavors, and should develop over the next 3–5 years.
