Louis Bernard 2017 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

Cassis and black cherry flavors are ripe but maintain purity in this unoaked, fresh-fruited blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Voluptuous, almost creamy in texture, it's an opulent sip accentuated by fine, feathery tannins and freshened by a crush of minerality on the finish. Best enjoyed now–2027. Anna Lee C. Iijima
