If the first duty of an icewine is to be sweet, this satisfies that need. Its sugar is also reasonably balanced in this case by 10% alcohol and crisp acids. What's missing is the purity of fruit, as some slightly singed, earthy notes creep into its aromas and finish. Joe Czerwinski
