Louis M. Martini 1997 Sangiovese (Dunnigan Hills)

The first ever Sangiovese from this venerable producer. A varietally-correct nose of sour cherries and chocolate. Light on the palate, with limpid berry fruit flavors, finely ground tannins, and a somewhat short, bitter finish. Lacks depth and complexity.
