Louis M. Martini 2004 Monte Rosso Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma Valley)

The oak sticks out, showing sweetly caramelized wood notes that dominate everything underneath. The basic wine seems quite fine, showing black currant flavors wrapped into firm, dry mountain tannins. Could develop, but right now it's unbalanced and heavy.
