This is the estate vineyard, located in the flat, dry western end of the Walla Walla Valley. It's 95% Merlot with a splash of Syrah and Cab Franc, and it is dark, tannic and straightforward. What's missing is the extra detail and complexity that would add interest to the roasty-toasty tannins.
