Very dark in the glass, this bottling explodes on the intense nose with aromas of seared lamb, iodine, purple flowers, rosemary and charcoal. The tar, char and asphalt flavors consume the grippy palate, with a core that ranges from raw, gamy meat to mace and eucalyptus before finishing on a streak of violet. Drink 2022–2040. Matt Kettmann
