Lucien Albrecht 2001 Clos des Récollets Pinot Gris (Alsace)

Starts off a little rocky, with rubbery, reductive notes that give way to flavors of ripe pears and melons, accented by dried spices. Medium-bodied and dry, with a slightly oily texture and a spicy, persistent finish. A natural with trout or salmon. Joe Czerwinski
