Lucien Le Moine 2003 Clos Saint-Denis

Complex from the first sniff, where it seems herbal, briary and even a bit peppery but simultaneously bacony, spicy and laced with red cherries. On the palate, it's mostly about sous-bois and spice, with just enough cherry fruit for balance. Briary and a bit drying on the finish, but the bet here is that this wine will age superbly. Try after 2010. Imported by Vintus LLC. Joe Czerwinski
