Luigi Vico 2017 Prapò (Barolo)

Forest floor, rose, new leather and woodland berry aromas lead the way in this gorgeous red. Fermented in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts followed by aging in large Slavonian and French oak casks, it's structured and delicious, offering strawberry compote, ripe Morello cherry, licorice and baking spice set against a backbone of firm, fine-grained tannins. Give it time to fully develop. Drink 2027–2037. Kerin O’Keefe
