Luis Pato 2001 Vinha Barrosa Red (Beiras)

The 65-year-old Barrio vineyard, planted with Baga, has produced a ripe, relatively soft wine, with earthy, juicy flavors and fine concentration. The tannins are only dry to finish, but still the leathery aromas and acidity dominate. Roger Voss
