Lula 2016 Rescue Block Pinot Noir (Anderson Valley)

While full bodied, this wine also has more than enough fruit, spice and savory nuances to give it plenty of flavor. The aroma exudes sour cherry, wild berry and underbrush while the flavors reveal ripe black cherry, rhubarb and light tea notes for an appealing and complex mix. It's called Rescue Block because the grapes are from a block of 1,000 old vines that Lula's owners nursed back to health. Jim Gordon
