Young and a bit fiery at first, but give it time in the glass and it unfolds in a way that you would never expect for a wine of this price. Medium-bodied without any harshness, it has Mencía's typical soft tannins and berry compote flavors backed by a touch of char and vanilla. A super good wine that proudly represents Bierzo at the value level. Michael Schachner
