Exceedingly ripe aromas of raisiny black fruit are flat and desiccated. On the palate, heavy ripeness is offset but not properly balanced by edgy tartaric acid. Black-cherry and blackberry flavors are stewy, while this tastes raisiny and malty on a short finish. Michael Schachner
