MacPhail 2007 Vagon Rouge Pinot Noir (Anderson Valley)

Cellar Selection

This is a sizable Pinot Noir, in both body and flavor. Made from selected barrels, it's thick and rich in blackberries, cherries, pomegranates, cola, cocoa and bacon, along with considerable toasted oak. Overpowering now, it really needs time in the cellar. Better after 2011.
