MacPhail 2009 Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast)

Sweet and rather heavy in youth, this is not one of MacPhail's most successful 2009 Pinot Noirs. It tastes like liquid cherry and raspberry jam, cola and caramelized oak. Flamboyant, but too extracted in fruit. Might mature with some years in the bottle.
