MacPhail 2012 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast)

The wine is a blend of eight vineyards located throughout the vast appellation, while the constituent clones include both newer Dijon versions and older California selections. The wine is designed as a representative sampling of Sonoma Pinot Noir, and it's quite successful. Fruitier and more direct than MacPhail's single-vineyard bottlings, its raspberry and cherry flavors make it drinkable now.
