Mad Fish 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (Western Australia)

This weekday red is open and approachable but is starting to show some age, so it should be drunk soon. On the nose, slightly raisiny currant notes combine with a medley of dried herbs, flowers and pencil lead characters. In the mouth the acidity is a little biting, making the fruit feel a touch sour and the oak angular. Christina Pickard
