This is an open, appealing drop straight off the bat. Aromas of black currant, licorice, mint and dark chocolate lead to a straightforward palate of primary fruit and woolly tannins. There's an edge to the acidity that sours the fruit a little, and the finish falls off, but overall, it's an easy, affordable weeknight Shiraz. Christina Pickard
